Dr. Grant Ferguson and Dr. Kristina Kauffman Ferguson met while attending Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. They have since co-developed their values and passions and have grown an outstanding community of positive and achieving young professionals who currently make up the Hicks Chiropractic on-site team.
The practice was graciously taken over by the previous husband and wife owners and still contains a healthy and vibrant patient base of those who have been here for years and those who are just getting started! Dr. Grant & Dr. Kristina Ferguson have between them 15 years of experience caring for thousands of patients from all walks and ages of life as well as hundreds of hours of additional, specialized neurologic-based chiropractic training in techniques known as NetworkSpinal and DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stability). This is all in addition to their doctorate degrees at the fountainhead of chiropractic colleges, Palmer College of Chiropractic.
They are both extremely passionate at finding the underlying cause of that which may be preventing you from your best you, whether that is physical, mental or emotional, and have developed advanced and effective techniques to deliver care in the most heart-filled, warm and inviting atmosphere. A Family-Based Atmosphere
You can find anyone from 98-years-old here to 3 days old. We do not discriminate towards one populous and have never turned a patient away. We pride ourselves on having created a family based atmosphere where people may come in with pain or some sort of ailment, but become to a point where they don't have to worry about that and can just focus on staying and becoming more well. We don't see our work as a job but rather our profession and most people end up finding more than what they were looking for here.
What Kind of Training Does a Chiropractor Have?
Chiropractic doctors go through a minimum of four years of schooling at a chiropractic college, generally preceded by an undergraduate degree in the basic sciences or several years of experience in a prior relevant health care field.
Students of chiropractic care must spend a minimum of at least 4,200 hours with their teacher, and a minimum of 1,000 hours of fully supervised clinical training with an instructor as they learn the appropriate diagnosis and treatment techniques to help heal your body and restore it to its natural, fully functioning state.
